CLIENT TESTIMONIALS
The Navy involuntarily discharged me unlawfully after honorably sacrificing for my country for over 17 years with top performance evaluations and watching my family grow without me during multiple deployments. After my discharge I considered that my life wasn’t worth living. After reaching out to my parents for assistance, my father told me about The Law Office of Raymond J. Toney. I’d never worked with an attorney in my life. After being repeatedly lied to by the federal government, I wasn’t convinced anyone could help me, but after reviewing a few cases and testimonials from militarylawpro.com, I figured I would give him a shot.
My initial conversation with Raymond was like speaking with a genuine friend, but who could also provide effective legal services. I mean, Raymond breaks down the legal jargon and provides evidence of his capabilities and legal skillset - he keeps it real! He took my case to the BCNR which awarded me over two years of service credit with pay! He continuously re-enforced the facts, potential results, and communicated to me with a genuine desire to help. There are good lawyers and there are great attorneys - Raymond is the latter. He provided superior legal assistance and literally saved my life! I am now retired from the Navy with full benefits thanks to Raymond’s skill and devotion.

Mr. Toney has always been completely straightforward with me throughout a legal process that endured over five years. My case involved highly politicized issues that occurred on the battlefield in Afghanistan involving senior and general officers of multiple branches. Mr. Toney's success is, in my opinion, based upon his absolutely unique character. If an injustice has occurred, Mr. Toney will do his best to achieve victory. The amount of experience, effort and professional passion Mr. Toney dedicated to my case was clearly visible at all times and in the end secured life-changing improvements to the lives of an entire Marine Special Operations Team falsely accused of intentionally killing civilians. I can think of no greater praise for any attorney than how Mr. Toney fully dedicated himself to this endeavor, persevering as if it were his only mission in life. His victory will be remembered for generations.

Look no further! Congratulations on finding Mr. Toney. He is the best in the field. Mr. Toney genuinely cares about his clients, and will go the extra mile to ensure justice is served. He is extremely competent and experienced. Mr. Toney fought for me, resulting in me getting retroactively promoted to COL with back pay. After being on the promotion list for COL, I was referred to a PRB, based on an erroneous CID report. I was devastated and my entire life was turned upside down. I didn't know any attorneys, so I searched the internet and found one. He took my money and was very disrespectful towards me. I was ultimately removed from the promotion list. I was selected to COL again, and referred to the PRB again, based on the same erroneous CID report. This time, I hired a different attorney, and again was ultimately removed from the promotion list. I searched the internet again, looking for an attorney, and stumbled across Mr. Toney. I was impressed with the testimonials, and called him for an initial free consultation. I felt motivated and empowered, after speaking to him. I sensed from our first conversation that he really cared about me and my situation. He wanted to help me. This was totally different than the experience I had with the two previous attorneys. They did not care about me, and only wanted my money. Mr. Toney suggested we work through the ABCMR, and he spent countless hours contacting witnesses, writing letters, and helping me clear my name. His efforts, relentlessly fighting for me for over four years, resulted in the ABCMR granting full relief. My records were corrected, and I was retroactively promoted to COL with back pay. Mr. Toney's expertise and determination made this happen. He gave me my life back, and I consider him a friend for life. He gets results and his fees are reasonable. Don't waste your time with other attorneys. Let Mr. Toney help you.

Mr. Toney is an absolutely amazing attorney. I’m a SSG in the U.S. Army. I was selected for promotion in 2014 to the rank of SFC. I received a General Officer Memorandum of Reprimand for an offense I did not commit and the GOMOR caused me to lose my promotion and ultimately be recommended for separation under the Qualitative Management Program. Due to the fact I was selected for QMP I was automatically labeled as a bad Soldier and was not going to be in the Army much longer. I sought legal guidance from Mr. Toney and it was the best decision I have ever made in my military career. Mr. Toney linked me directly with the personnel I needed to talk to and he submitted two packets to DASEB on my behalf and was successful on both requests. Mr. Toney directly contacted the general officer who gave me the GOMOR and explained why it was wrong. He asked the general officer to contact DASEB on my behalf to remove the GOMOR, which the major general did. Mr. Toney is not just the best military lawyer you could ever hire, he is an amazing person who will guide you through tough and overwhelming times. The worst feeling in the world is that you’re going to lose a career and retirement and have to start over. Mr. Toney saved my career and my retirement. I cannot thank him enough for the tireless effort he has put into my career, my future, and my family’s future. We are now going to work to get my promotion restored!

I was selected for promotion to Major after nearly 12 years of Army service. However, my promotion was delayed due to an Army CID report, which "titled" me for something I did not do. Bottom line up front, Mr. Raymond Toney took on my case and coached me every step of the way in constructing an amazing submission to the Promotion Review Board (PRB). The PRB voted to restore me to the promotion list and I fully promoted to Major after a yearlong review. I could write pages of testimonial here and go on, as such -- I will simply say, I recommend Mr. Toney with extreme confidence and without any reservation as a strong guide though all complicated military/related legal matters. Most importantly, he will provide peace of mind through what can be a deeply confusing or overwhelming process. The PRB was a very real concern and my retention/ promotion was highly questionable. I am sure, like others -- many things were on the line -- such as: tuition reimbursement for my family, school loan repayment, medical care, and retirement benefits, etc. The chance of my separation loomed large. Without Mr. Toney's services, I am convinced my case would have just ended up being 'glossed over' and my worth to (and love for) the Army entirely discarded without a second thought. Here is the most important point -- with the aid of Mr. Toney's help , I came to feel that I was doing everything I could do -- for a fighting chance. I give my strongest recommendation possible to Mr. Toney.

I thoroughly researched several attorneys during my initial search and all roads kept leading to Raymond Toney as the best in the business. One of the last referrals I received came from a professor at the Yale Law School Veterans Clinic when I finally decided to reach out to Raymond and met with him in person to discuss my case and strategy he would use to form an appeal to the AFBCMR. Having applied by myself years prior and being denied by the AFBCMR I knew it was going to be no easy task and I would need the best in the business to provide the best odds for a favorable outcome. Raymond specializes in this area and it shows. Although my case was not the most glamorous, it was extremely important to me and I was very impressed with Raymond’s communication skills and methodical approach to my appeal to the AFBCMR like it was the most important case in his file. In the end I listened to Raymond, did what he asked, and after 3 years of waiting on the AFBCMR I received a favorable decision. I would not hesitate to use Raymond again and recommend him to anyone filing an appeal to the boards for correction of military records of the various military branches.

Raymond came highly recommended by a coworker of mine. I have to admit that initially I was skeptical, thinking "How can a lawyer so far away from me really understand the nuances of my case and achieve success?" Any concerns that I had were immediately assuaged during my initial conversations with Raymond. He listens carefully, asks thoughtful questions, and is very easy to communicate with. He took the time to thoroughly analyze and review all aspects of my case, then delivered a solid, comprehensive argument to the BCNR. An unfair and unjustified Adverse Fitness Report was subsequently removed from my OMPF. Raymond is a true expert at navigating the complicated and often frustrating world of the BCNR and his knowledge of military law is masterful. As Raymond was highly recommended to me, I highly recommend Raymond's services as well. You will not be disappointed.

Mr. Toney rapidly understood the details of my particular case in a non-judgmental manner; gave me direct legal advice regarding what I wanted within the framework of the existing precedent and existing law; he was responsive to the changing nature of my particular case, and he commands a thorough knowledge of military law; where he did not have extensive experience, he quickly assimilated best practice and existing law and gave me expert legal representation. Without reservation, a wonderful experience working with a legal professional, given a difficult personal circumstance. Best of all, he got me the results I wanted! I fully endorse Mr. Toney to represent anyone in the military who needs legal assistance.

When I first started to look for an attorney to handle my case, I wasn’t sure what type of attorney to look for. After searching, I am so thankful I found Mr. Raymond Toney. There were laws and administrative rules that the military failed to follow in my case and without Mr. Toney’s knowledge I would have never known about them. For that I am so very grateful. Raymond, I don't know where my family and I would be right now without your efforts! You came highly recommended by civilian and military lawyers and did not hold back on any questions I asked. From the bottom of my heart my family and I truly appreciate your hard work and dedication to this case. Even though it took five years to complete, I can't thank you enough for keeping me focused on the light at the end of the tunnel. Even though there were many obstacles in our way, you hit them head on with no hesitation on what the outcome might possible be. I highly recommend Mr. Toney. My DD214 was not 100% accurate when I separated from the USAF, and I fought to get my AF service time credited into the FERS system when I sent to work for the VA after separation from the USAF. Despite my own efforts, the process was going nowhere and I was beginning to lose hope. I then was fortunate to find someone like Mr. Toney who had the knowledge and experience to understand the unique working of the military system and who was able to plan and navigate through the system and secure a correction to my DD214 that met my end goal of securing credit for my USUHS active duty years as applicable service time for FERS retirement through the VA. Without his services, I don't think I would have ever gotten my situation resolved satisfactory. Thanks!

Raymond was a local lawyer who had the skills and ability and was willing to work with me and my case. He was very honest from the beginning and didn't sugar coat any possibilities or outcomes. He informed me about the MEB process and AFBCMR decisions on similar cases. He is an exceptional lawyer who dedicated countless hours working on my case. He was very kind and worked with me financially understanding the hardship the decision from the Air Force put my family in. After reading the initial case decision from the Air Force he quickly found many holes in the decision that were incorrect based on the VA rating system. Throughout the entire process he kept me informed on what was going on and let me know the next set of processes. In the end, I went from a disability separation to medical retirement! Thanks for everything you did for me and my family!

Raymond came highly recommended from lawyers and colleagues that I previously spoke to. He was upfront, honest, and very familiar with the Army Board for the Correction of Military Records. He is very professional and worked diligently to help me with an unjust debt awarded to me by the Army. Raymond developed a thorough, effective and successful case that granted me full relief of my debt while providing exceptional service throughout the duration of the case at a very reasonable price.

After being diagnosed with asymptomatic Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), the Navy decided to find me ‘unfit’ for further duty during an informal physical evaluation board. My goal was to continue my military career and remain in the United States Navy. So my next step was to obtain the BEST attorney in the business to ensure my goal was reached. I retained Mr. Raymond J. Toney to represent me for my appeal process before the Formal Physical Evaluation Board (PEB). Mr. Toney conducted himself as a true professional; he researched, contacted witnesses, and collected key information pertaining to my case. After submitting all of the evidence 5 days prior to my scheduled PEB hearing date, the board notified me of their reconsideration of my case, changing the results to "fit for continued service on active duty". I am now able to wear the rank of Lieutenant Commander and carry on service in the U.S. Navy, because of Mr. Toney.

Many of us with long experience in military service become familiar with the maxim “search for the guilty and punish the innocent”. It is particularly devastating when you find that senior leaders in the Army (military and civilian) do not hesitate to follow that strategy as a means of covering up their own incompetence, lack of integrity, and, too often, outright criminal acts. As a whistle-blower, I became the target of such leaders. With Raymond's unswerving legal and moral support, I was able to successfully defend myself from their persistent and unfounded attacks on my personal integrity and competence. In addition to his exceptional expertise in the military legal process, Raymond also demonstrated unswerving devotion to the values of Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Honor and Integrity – values that far too many senior Army leaders habitually disregard. It is without reservation that I recommend Raymond’s services to those who find themselves the target of an official cover-up or simply the victim of a negligent and incompetent military bureaucracy.

Raymond and I fought my case for more than 4 1/2 years through the BCNR and the US Court of Federal Claims. All of this could have been prevented if I had contacted Mr. Toney before my (illegal) discharge. Raymond ran circles around both the DOJ and Navy attorneys arguing against us in court. During this long process Raymond showed great resolve (fighting my case) and incredible patience (answering my questions and reassuring my wife). Raymond, thank you for everything.

Mr. Toney came highly recommended by military lawyers I spoke to. He was straight forward, honest, sincere, and very knowledgeable about the Performance Evaluation Review Board and the Board for Correction of Naval Records. He worked diligently to help me overcome an injustice. Even though I was across the country from him he maintained constant communication with me ensuring the development of the most thorough and effective package possible to submit to the PERB and BCNR. Thanks to his hard work, thorough knowledge of military law, and superb attention to detail, my adverse fitness report and page 11 entry were exposed as an injustice and removed from my official military record. I can’t thank Mr. Toney enough for all that he did for me. I highly recommend Mr. Toney to anyone in need of the services he provides.

It is with utmost confidence that I recommend military attorney Raymond J. Toney to pursue your military law matter pertaining to records corrections, medical issues, and all legal implications stemming from these issues. Raymond possesses a very clear understanding of legal proceedings, requirements and necessary paperwork to pursue a case. He is extremely professional, determined, patient, and conscientious in his pursuit of justice. His work is extremely detailed and shows hours of analysis and research. Raymond has made himself available at all times, is flexible with my needs and is straightforward in his approach. While medically disabled and rejected by the military bureaucracy, I've had to rely on Raymond to navigate this lengthy process. I found Raymond's profile while doing a search for "military lawyers," and his point aboiut making sure to hire the right lawyer (criminal or administrative) struck a chord. I contacted Raymond for the initial free consultation, and he wanted to look over some documents I had to see how strong of a case I had. Raymond was the only person who advocated for me, and we stuck through the various levels of appeal, eventually ended up at the Air Force Board for the Correction of Military Records. They decided in my favor, and directed DFAS to reimburse all my back pay. We are still fighting for all the money I am entitled to, but that's another story. Raymond knows the processes that are involved, and stuck by me while this bureaucractic appeal process was beating us both down. I highly recommend his services.

As an old Army Operations Research Systems Analyst, I did a study prior to hiring Mr. Toney. I analyzed a wide range of the cases that were argued and won by legal counsel.I found that roughly 80 percent of the cases that were won were agued by 20 percent of the legal counselors. Of the 20 percent who won the majority of the cases, Mr. Toney stood out from all the rest. Mr. Toney’s integrity is beyond question. When I first came to him to request his advice he said he wouldn’t represent me if I didn’t have a solid case. Fortunately for me, he decided that I did.As result of Mr. Toney’s efforts, I was returned to active duty, promoted retroactively, awarded years of back pay and allowed to retire in a higher grade. The federal court and ABCMR briefs he put together were brilliant, logical and comprehensive. As a result, I won summary judgment against the Army. My family and I will always be in his debt for his services on our behalf.

I found Raymond after my original attorney left private practice. He immediately began gathering the information to submit my appeal. Raymond worked tirelessly on my behalf, and developed excellent arguments to rebut the Government's case. Through his work and support I was able to reach a settlement of less than one third of the original amount the government said I owed.

I hired Raymond to collect 4.5 months of backpay in a Medical Continuation Orders (MEDCON) case. Before it was over I had a full Active Duty pension! For AFRC/ANG MEDCON and Sanctuary issues, look no further, Raymond Toney is THE MAN! He gives lawyers a good name.

I recommend that anyone who refuses to give up on their future, health and well-being, seeks Raymond's legal advice and feedback.

Raymond was my military law attorney on a very complex Army case for over ten years. During the time he represented me, not once did I have reason to question his personal involvement, sense of urgency, complete grasp of the appropriate law and dedication to me both on a personal and professional level. No one could ask for a more qualified military lawyer to have on your team. I recommend Raymond and his expertise without reservation.

I wanted to thank you for your hard work and dedication. My wife is a Paralegal so I know from her stories just how much time, effort, stress, and frustration goes into each case. You went out of your way to make damn sure I came out on top. You kept your promise to me and fought the good fight. Had it not been for having you in my corner there is no doubt I would never have gotten the win. My family and I truly appreciate everything you have done. Please continue to help veterans and their families fight for what they are surely owed.

Mr. Toney provided me excellent representation in getting the titling of my arrest record removed. From the time I first talked to him on the phone all the way up to when the process was finished he has been more than professional. He was thorough and expedient throughout the process and kept me updated, making me eligible to further my military education including Drill Sergeant School once my case was won. A top notch professional, I highly recommend Mr. Toney in dealing with your military affairs.

Words can't describe how much you have impacted my life. Leaving the Marine Corps with an Other than Honorable discharge hampered my dream of redemption by again serving our country. Your careful work and knowledge of the discharge review board procedures are clearly the reason I once again have a chance to serve. Thank you for helping me reverse my shame. I can now stand tall and proud of my service.

Raymond is an exceptional attorney, and I am grateful for all of the work he did on my behalf. I believe that my only mistake was not finding him and seeking his counsel first.
